Job Description:
Brewer Science, a leading supplier of specialty coatings to the microelectronics industry is currently seeking a full-time Process Engineer (Engineer-in-Charge)in the Chemical Manufacturing Group at the Rolla, Missouri location.

Summary:

Evaluates, selects, develops and implements programs for product and process characterization, continuous product and process improvements, equipment design, specification and installation and implementation of Quality Systems.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Performs product and process characterization.
  • Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Performs work that involves conventional types of plans, investigations, structures, or equipment with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.
  • Performs assignments that usually include one or more of the following: equipment design and development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed.
  • Accept assignments that have clear and specified objectives and require investigation of a limited scope.
  • May supervise or coordinate the work of technician or others who assist in specific assignments.
  • Ensures continuous improvements in products, processes, and systems.
  • Responsible for design, specification, and justification of facilities.
  • Trains other employees on product, processes, and quality procedures.
  • Initiates action to prevent occurrence of non-conformities.
  • Make clear, thorough entries in and maintain lab notebooks, specifically by denoting complete procedures and data and by regularly signing your own and witnessing fellow employees signatures to ensure complete, timely, and accurate record retention.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Chemical Engineering;
  • Equivalent combination of education and related experience.
