• Design, fabrication, and characterization of silicon photonic component, with emphasis on Ge-based active devices on Si and SOI substrates.
• Work with a team of engineers and researchers to develop novel CMOS compatible photonic devices fabrication technology.
• Develop and realize new materials, device structure and processes in compliance to project specifications and requirements.
• Establish and secure collaborations with leaders in the photonics field, including both academic researchers and industry partners.

Requirements:

• PhD in microelectronics, material sciences, electrical engineering, photon-electronics or equivalent with major strength in integrated photonic devices
• Good knowledge and experience in silicon micro-fabrication processes, knowledge and experience of germanium-related process would be an advantage
• Good publication’s track record in relevant fields
• Capability to work with interdisciplinary team of researchers
• Excellent communication, presentation and technical writing skills
