• Develop a sensorised guidewire for improved angioplasty operation
• Design and optimize MEMS devices (finite-element and theoretical analysis)
• Design and integrate process flow in MEMS devices
• Design experimental setups, evaluate and characterize device performance
• Work with packaging engineers in integrating a biocompatible system
• Provide MEMS specifications for circuit designers to interface with ASIC
• Work closely with medical partners on whole system implementation

Requirements:

• PhD/Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Biomedical/Materials Science Engineering with at least 2 years relevant experience.
• Understanding of silicon-based microfabrication and packaging.
• Experience in biomedical device development, mainly biocompatible materials and packaging
• Practical knowledge of finite element analysis.
• Capable of working efficiently in a highly interdisciplinary team of researchers
• Excellent oral communication skills as well as technical writing skills
